## 1. Sign in

Go to [app.polyterminus.com/signup](https://app.polyterminus.com/signup). Two options:

  - **Email link** — enter your address, we send a one-click sign-in link. No password to remember.
  - **Google** — one-tap OAuth if you're already signed in to a Google account.

There is no KYC on the Polyterminus side. Polymarket enforces KYC on the actual trading account when you link it.

## 2. Link your Polymarket account

Polyterminus needs one thing to trade on your behalf: a Polymarket signer key. This is a separate key that Polymarket exposes for programmatic access — it can place orders and read positions, but it **cannot withdraw funds**.

Instructions inside the app walk you through fetching the key from your Polymarket profile settings and pasting it. We encrypt it at rest (AES-256-GCM). See [Linking Polymarket](/docs/linking-polymarket) for the security model.

## 3. Pick your workflow

  - **Lite Cockpit** — one-page dashboard: breaking markets, watchlist movers, AI take, hot deals. Best for hobby / low-frequency users.
  - **Terminal** — the full trading workspace with widgets you can arrange.
  - **Cards** — Tinder-style swipe deck of AI-picked opportunities.
  - **Copy Trading** — mirror top wallets.
  - **Agents** — trigger → AI step → action automation.

## 4. Place your first trade

Open any market. The order pad on the right supports market (FOK) and limit (GTC) orders. Start with $1 — Polymarket's minimum notional is $1, and we ceil-size accordingly so tiny buys still make it past the exchange's floor.

## 5. Turn on the risk gate

Settings → Trading → Daily loss limit. Default is $500 rolling 24h. This is the total USDC you can commit to _new_ BUY positions in any 24-hour window. Selling and TP/SL exits are never blocked. Raise or lower to match your risk appetite.
